Social Contribution

LX Glas is involved in a number of initiatives to contribute to the growth of the local community. These include entering into shared growth agreements with local environmental committees, support for physical screens for the elderly, assisting charity kitchens for the underprivileged with supplies and volunteers, and supporting student athletes. We continue to look for ways to contribute and support the growth of the local communities through cooperation.

01. Shared Growth Agreement to Improve Local Environment: We entered into a shared growth agreement with the Yeoldaeja Environmental Committee to support environmental conservation efforts and shared growth with the local community. Through this agreement, we participated in the conservation efforts of the Environmental Committee for local communities, provided assistance for health checks for the elderly, and supported the local elementary school to contribute to the growth of the community. We supported health checks for the elderly in four neighborhoods and provided supplies for conservation activities of the Environmental Committee. As part of our educational support activities, we provided school supplies for new students at Haeseong Elementary school in Miseong-dong, and subsidized educational materials and facility improvements.

02. Support for Provincial Student Athletes: We support students with exceptional athletic abilities to foster athletic talent from the local Gunsan community. We have signed an agreement with Sanbuk Middle School in Gunsan to support student athletes, and provide assistance to students from track and wrestling departments. We have provided assistance for students to enter into competitions, for training camps, and provided equipment including uniforms and shoes. Our efforts have contributed to students gaining experience and develop into athletes. We will continue to provide support in different ways to help our students grow into future leaders in their fields.

03. Charity Kitchen for the Underprivileged: We participate in operating charity kitchens in the local community. As charity kitchens face difficulties with the recent price rises, we have donated supplies to kitchens in the Miseong district area. Our employees have volunteered time at the kitchen and provided warm meals to those who needed them. Charity kitchens volunteer days take place twice a year. We continue to look for other ways to help the underprivileged.

04. Support for non-Korean employees: We run a program to support our non-Korean employees, who may find it hard to live overseas, by providing them with items (vouchers). This program is geared toward international employees of partner companies, and we will continue to pay attention to the hardships that our international workers may face and help them settle better in Korea.
